Zhou Feng, Deputy District Mayor of Jiawang District, said in his speech that web celebrity talents should carry forward the spirit of mentoring in e-commerce, tell Jiawang's stories well, and sell Jiawang's specialty products well. Relevant departments should further increase support, strengthen industry supervision, and create a favorable environment for developing the "web celebrity economy." Various incubation platforms and e-commerce associations should do well in industry coordination, communication, and services, building a bridge between supply and marketing for online merchants in the district.

The 2020 China (Xuzhou) Web Celebrity Live Contest will last until July, including divisional qualifiers, semifinals, and finals, with awards for contestants including champion, runner-up, second runner-up, and Best Popularity Award, Best Short Video Award, etc., with certificates and trophies awarded respectively. Additionally, 10 Best Web Celebrity Product Awards will be set for participating products, with enterprise certificates and trophies awarded.

In the first quarter of this year, the city's online retail sales exceeded 12 billion yuan, of which web celebrity live streaming contributed 1.5 billion yuan, becoming an important growth segment in online retail business and a new highlight for mass entrepreneurship and innovation.
