2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the conclusion of a sister city between Beijing and Berlin. In order to celebrate this meaningful year, under the guidance of Beijing Wangfujing regional construction management office and German Chinese Exchange Association, and Beijing Municipal Bureau of culture and tourism, a team of adventurous car enthusiasts from Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg was once again convened to form a master team, starting from kudam street in Berlin, the capital of Germany, on August 24, 2019. Along the historical footprints left by the eastern and Western civilizations on the Silk Road, the team traveled 13000km through eight countries including Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and China, and arrived in Beijing, the capital of China, on October 10, 2019, 49 days later.

In order to commemorate the successful conclusion of the 2019 Berlin Beijing New Silk Road classic car rally and witness the great success of the team in crossing the Silk Road, with the efforts of Beijing Wangfujing regional construction management office and German Chinese Exchange Association, the old car team successfully arrived at Wangfujing pedestrian street in Beijing to participate in the arrival ceremony and celebrate the grand event of cultural exchange on the Silk Road with all parties. In addition, in order to welcome the guests from Europe, Yu Bosheng, Ambassador of Luxembourg to China, Cao Pengcheng, deputy director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of culture and tourism, and Ge Junkai, deputy director of Dongcheng District of Beijing attended the arrival ceremony.
